ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT FORT WORDEN STATE PARK

Fort Worden State Park is a 433-acre multi-use park with 11,020 feet of saltwater shoreline and a wide variety of recreational opportunities. The park rests on a high bluff overlooking the Juan de Fuca Strait and Admiralty Inlet. Many historic buildings remain at this 19th century military fort. Fort Worden State Park is located in historic Port Townsend, a Historic National Landmark Victorian community.

This ride benefits the The Friends of Fort Worden, a registered non-profit group that supports the park through volunteer activities and fund raising for projects not funded by the state parks system. These include interpretative signage, building restoration, funding of diverse activities that benefit the park and the community and operating a park visitor information center/gift shop in the old Guardhouse.

Pt Slideshow

The community of Port Townsend, with its Victorian Architecture, is as varied as the geography that surrounds it. From recreation in the Olympic Mountains to downtown shopping, the reflection of life here is connected to both the land and the people. Discovery Bay, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Admiralty Inlet, and Port Townsend Bay surround the city as it sits at the northeast end of the Quimper Peninsula.
